Buying BNB (or other crypto) on ZebPay

.. and withdraw it to a different wallet — for example TrustWallet to buy tokens that are not readily listed on exchanges available in your country.

This is an extension of the article I wrote about buying SafeMoon in India, while mentioned “India” the process is still pretty much the same for many countries where ZebPay works.

Create a ZebPay Account and complete the verification

Download ZebPay on your phone — you can search for it on your application store or go find it on this referral link (benefits for both of us):

ZebPay (download link) | Referral code: REF53052189

(make sure to use referral code while signing-up for freebies)

After the sign-up complete the ID verification as well as adding bank account (in India).

Bank account is important, the bank account should be yours that you add and that you need to use that very same bank account to send money by NEFT / IMPS using your bank’s net banking / app. For countries other than India you may get different payment method options depending on what ZebPay supports in your region.

After Bank is added and verified

Go to the deposit section on your Zebpay.

tap on “Deposit”
for Indian users you will see Instant Deposit option, select it.

Now you will be provided with bank account details where you have to send money to. Don’t worry, these bank account numbers are unique to your account, so sending money here is not a risk, ZebPay provides good support in case there is any problem whatsoever.

Note: Use your bank’s app / website (DO NOT USE UPI apps) to send money using NEFT / IMPS or RTGS. Most bank’s application do not require you to add a beneficiary but some do. So do check how much time it would take for that in case. In my case Kotak Mahindra bank provides third-party transfer even without adding beneficiary first.

Wait for the deposit, then buy BNB or other coin

If you did IMPS the money would get deposited instantaneously, sometimes it can take longer, maybe even hours but it happens.

If you are looking to buy SafeMoon then you have to buy BNB. But you can buy other coins, hold it and / or withdraw it to wallets if you like.

Let’s go for BNB for now assuming you want to withdraw it to TrustWallet to buy, let’s say, SafeMoon.

  • Go to the main screen of Zebpay
  • Select BNB / Binance Coin from the list of tradeable cryptos.

Enter amount in INR. If you want to buy BNB of Rs. 10000 then enter that, or click on “Buy Max” to fill the amount automatically depending on your ZebPay INR balance.

In the second field you have to enter the price at which you want to buy BNB. Sometimes it may not be filled automatically, so you can check what’s the current price of BNB and enter that, but in most cases it will be filled automatically.

Then click on “Play buy order” and proceed, you will see the summary of your order, how much you will get and the price you are buying at. Your order will be fulfilled once you confirm and the order is executed.

Remember, if you set the buy price lower than the current market price then order may not be fulfilled until the market price falls to your set price.

Note, sometimes you may have to lower the INR value because of fees, try decreasing the amount by 10 INR and try again.

Sending your BNB to TrustWallet (or any other wallet)

If you got yourself TrustWallet, you have to retrieve your BNB Wallet address. (not including screenshots for that as it’s fairly simple)

  • Open TrustWallet
  • Select BNB (okay, there are two types of Binance Coin, both are BNB but one is called Binance Coin, other is called Smart Chain or Binance Smart Chain).
  • Select BNB in the list of cryptos. You will see a “Copy” / “Receive”, go over there and you can get your wallet address. It should be provided you as a QR as well as ready to be copied in your clipboard.

Once that’s done, go back to ZebPay.

Click on “Send” from the list of options on top. Here you will add the wallet address you just copied from your wallet app.

  • Click on “Add New Address”
  • In Name, enter any name to recognize the Wallet. Something like “My wallet BNB” etc. Anything is acceptable.
  • In Recipient Address enter the copied address. The text should be a long string of characters starting with “bnb..”
  • TrustWallet do not require Memo, so enter anything in the Memo field. But for other wallets which may require it always remember to fill it as told by the receiving wallet application.

Save it. Send

Now once added you will go to the Send interface. At the bottom you will see field to enter quantity you want to send. Click on “Send all” to send all of the BNB balance in your ZebPay, but again, you have to lower the amount a bit, probably by 0.001 as it will be deducted as fee.

That’s it! Your BNB will be transferred to the wallet you sent it to.
